True Love

Well Happy Valentines day everyone…

I want to share with you a little about My True Love…

I am not trying to be cliche or cheesy but I have found a True Love that has seen me through so much of my life… He has seen me through my lowest of lows, when I was a teenager seeking for attention and still searching, He was there. When I miscarried a beautiful baby a couple of years ago, He was there. Even when I have come under strong persecution for just loving Him, He is there. This True love has also been there for me in my highest of high moments, when I have been travelling around the world He was there. When I met and married the most amazing man, He was there. When I gave birth two my two beautiful daughters, He was there. Even now as I talk to people about this love and share it with everyone, He is here.

I guess you have worked it out,ย I am talking about the True Love that comes from my Heavenly Father, from my Jesus, and the precious Holy Spirit! It is True love that is constant and always with me. It is a faithful love that has stood by me even when I had my back turned. It is a patient love that waits for me to understand, and doesn’t force itself on me. It is a forgiving love, it is quick to forgive whenever I ask, never to be brought up again. It is a comforting love that shelters me and I can hide in when I need to escape from life. It is a saving love that endured pain, and death so that I can have a relationship with Him, he gave all for me.

Most of all He give me a Real True Love! It is alive and real, it is so real I can feel it every day. I can see it in the creation around me, I can feel it in the atmosphere around me, i cannot ever deny this true, everlasting, faithful love.

So when you are thinking about Valentines day this year, or contemplating relationships, look to the One who is longing to show ย you His love, to show you it is real,ย and to walk everyday hand in hand with you through this life. Look to Him who gave His life for you, whether you accept Him or not. Look to God for all your love and I promise you will NEVER be let down!

See you next time

It doesn’t rain… It pours!!

We have had no rain for around 2-3 months and our water levels on the Island were getting low… kinda funny I know.. We live on an island surrounded by water.

We had been praying for some rain… and a couple of days ago we got rain!!! It started on Monday slowly… and then Monday night it started to get heavier… and heavier.. and then on Tuesday morning it did not stop!! I took so many photos just watching the levels rise and it just amazed me at how quickly it happened.

This is just to show you a glimpse into tropical life here… not all coconut trees and beaches and mangoes! ๐Ÿ™‚

Here comes the rain on the horizon…

This is at about 9 am… just a big puddle…

The two houses starting to look like they are floating…

at around 10 am…

Now is the time we started seeing swimming centipedes and worms…

Not sure anyone was keen to use the playground…

About to lose the trampoline ladder…

Yep… there it goes…

Now we had to save the pigs as they were in it up to their necks… poor bubbas… they did not like being carried to higher ground… they were screaming like they thought we were going to kill them…

This is Hinrich Kraenzlin our DTS leader who though why not go for a swim… ๐Ÿ™‚

The boys saving our pool which was floating… that yellow thing in the background is the picnic table almost completely under…

The front of our house… starting to get a little concerned

The view from our front step… looked like a river just appeared…

Might as well make the most of it and have fun…

This is our front step… I am so thankful that just after this photo was taken it started to slow down and soak into the ground… Today finally the blue sky is back… but please keep us in your prayers as we have just begun the cyclone season for this year and they are predicting between 10-12 cyclones to hit in our area this year… which could mean more weather like this… Ill keep you posted ๐Ÿ™‚

Airfares, chicken and Gods Provision

Our God is a great God!! He is so faithful… I am beaming right now, just amazed at how my Father cares for my needs.

This week has been a week of God just pouring out his blessings on us, not only personally but also as a base. He has been faithful and shown us that he cares not only for the Big things, but also the little things.

Big ways he has provided this week… Paula, my husband, needed money to get his airfares for an outreach coming up in a month. Up to last week we had $300, donated to us by a very good friend. This was not enough. In one night, we got handed a one way ticket for him, as well as enough money to buy his return! Praise God, he is now going to be able to go on outreach to a village in Fiji and minister Gods love to these people.

Little ways he has provided… We just had the most amazing night welcoming the new DTS students to the base and we are excited for the school to start. While we were preparing the food for the night, many people dropped of boxes of chicken or pawpaws that was such a blessing to us that God would provide these for us, which made feeding everyone a little easier. I have to say though when the entire Bible College turned up I did pray a quick “Lord multiply our food” which He did! We had our own miracle, just like the feeding of the 5000 we fed everyone till they were full and we have leftovers!!!

I am so in awe that we serve a God who loves us so much that He cares about the Big things and the Little things in our lives!

Phillipians 4:19-20 says…

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen
